A Giga Switch is implemented on each PARIX sites. These Giga Switchs are linked by Gigabit Ethernet links to allow BGP session between two PARIX customers located at different site. The choosen equipment is Cisco Catalyst 6509 and 6506 loaded with a PFC card.

* Air
conditioning
The
room is air conditioned (temperature of 18°C to 22°C, humidity
of 40 to 80% uncondensed) by a secured system (2 sources) in order to provide
optimal conditions for hosting of computer and telecommunications equipment.

room is maintained in such a way as to provide optimal conditions for hosting
of computer and telecommunications equipment.
* Electric
power supply
The
power is 380/220Volts AC, 50Hz, single phase and 48 Volts. Backup is instantaneous
on 2 undulators and two sets of batteries. The room also has two backup
diesel generators.
* Fire
protection
The
room is equipped with an ionic and optical detection system in the room
and the false floor as well as with an extinction system by Halon 1301
gas.
* Environment
The
room conforms to current standards concerning the electromagnetic and electrostatic
environment. More particularly, power supply cables are armored and neon
lighting is protected against high frequencies.
The
Vendor undertakes to guard and maintain the building and its installations
at its expense, not limited to elevators, water supply systems, heating
and electricity, installation cooling systems and uninterrupted power supply
when need be. These installations will be maintained in proper order and
under conditions of repair that are safe and appropriate.
The
Vendor's premises conform to labor laws and to hygiene and safety regulations.
The
Customer is obliged to conform to the establishment's general rules of
conduct and security.
* Electricity
supply
The
Vendor undertakes to supply the power required to the Customer for adequate
use of the space available in the required conditions.
The
amount of rent payable may be modified if there is a significant change
of the quantity of electricity required.
* Maintenance
and repair of the building and technical installations
The
Customer undertakes to maintain the technical installations in the condition
in which they were provided to it.
